Until the next season

In memory of Thabo Maepa & Themba Sangweni

My head is heavy
My eyes are raining
Lost in my twenties
Uncertain of my thirties
This migrane is bashing my brains
Bashing my sane insane;
I can no longer embrace
The ache to brave this raging pain away.

When my soul vapourises into ice
I shall fly like an eagle in the sky
I know our meeting was brief
Do not grief for my early leave
For I was called for a reason
Until the next season.

What shall I worth on this earth?

It's healthier to speak out,
Than freeze my thoughts and die inside.
Look straight into my eyes,
And tell me what you see:
A disguise of your face walks
Inside my brains every single day.
Listen to my heartbeart
Each beat echoes your name;
An immortal flame burns to carve
Your presence with my absence.
I understand where you stand,
Your stance could solid and taken,
But I'm shaken to say this before your face,
My bold is choked by your bones wrapped
In definition of beauty;a caramel skin
That makes my head spin,I cannot speak
Whenever I look into your being.
My lungs breathe your breath
What shall I worth on this earth
Without your air?

A pleasant weather

Oct 17, 2006   //   by freeflojo   //   the body  //  No Comments

Ageing leaves from a timeless trunk
Plunge the frowning bark
Winds unleashing shrieks of twigs
Beneath the golden disc that heats
Temples to evolve in peace.
My carved palms turn grey
Veins freeze in dismay
Waiting for the disc to bake
My cold-stricken face
I wait in vain!
My salivary flesh licks foam
From corners of my lips
I roam the golden roads for a meal
Rubbish bin spins…
Deeper and deeper my stomach
Digs for dinner; a lodged smile
As my hand unrubbles a mangled burger
The roads of treasure measure
My frozen life with anger
I'm a beggar pleading for a pleasant weather!

Just love me

JUST LOVE ME

Don’t love me my sweet heart
Like your shadow
For shadows fade at evening
And I want to keep u forever
Not like pepper
Which makes the belly too hot?
For then I could not take you
When I’m hungry
Not like pillow
For we would be together for hours of sleep
But scarcely meet by day
Not like rice
For once swallowed you think no more of it
Not like soft speeches
For they quickly vanish
Sweet indeed but too common

Love me like a beautiful dream
Your life in the night
My hope in the day
Like a piece of gold
Ever with me on earth
And for the great journey
A faithful comrade
Like a calabash
Infact, for drawing water
In pieces, bridges for my guitar
Just love me
As you are
