My cell phone has became a watch

I have been crying to my parents
Saying mam kekupa
Untekele cell phone
Pap kebatle cell phone
They bought me a cell phone
Those people who  were calling
Me on my mothers’ cell phone
Are no long calling me instead
I only receive ama please call me
I only receive one call a month
And twelve calls a year

I spend three to four months
Without an air time
Sometimes I even forget that my cell
Does not have any remaining units and when I attempt to make a call
This friendly lady keeps on reminding me by saying
“You have an insufficient amount to make a call please loud airtime and try again later” my cell phone has become a watch
I even play with ring tones on the streets so that people might think
It’s a phone call whereas I was just checking time

Sometimes I wander plus confused
Does owning a stolen phone means
You don’t have to switch it off during a church service
Angry I am
Does bringing in a borrowed phone in a funeral means you
Don’t have to switch it off during the reading of the obituary of the deceased
Angry I am
Does owning a polyphonic three G cell phone
Means you don’t have to switch it off
During a business meeting
During a job interview that you are desperate in need of

When my cell phone rings I think is something
Serious and important
To my surprise
It’s a wrong number or
They are looking for my grandmother
