We had something special
At least that is what I thought
Like a fool I believed every word you said

Providing me with a false sense of security
I thought you were mine and mine alone but I was fooling myself
Your eyes which burned with longing approved of what your smile said
But I forgot that looks can be deceiving, so I was deceived
I was betrayed by the person I loved the most
The person I had offered myself to for I thought he was gentle
Gentle he was, on the outside
And he played me so well, the truth I did not believe
Thank god I did not show the world my foolishness
Or else my betrayal would have left with my pride & dignity
But all it left is a broken heart and a wiser mind
