Blind

Being oppressed everyday iam, yet iam blind
I am oppressed as a compressor yet it moves but I am blind
As I am being referred as black because I lack yet am blind
I lack to see oppression that’s why I suffer from depression
I am blind as I do not see the use of my mother tongue
Iam blind as I pronounce Karabo as karaboo
Am I caged as an animal in the zoo
When will I open my eyes and see
Yes see the truth and face reality
And become me an African.
