It’s Ain’t Funny Anymore

May 13, 2010   //   by lmbiko   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

The cold corner you’re at, your cardboard mattress, your soleless shoes
The smell of farts from my housemate is nothing compared to what your corner has to offer
The homeless grime and stains have found home in your clothes
I can see that filthy but precious body of yours through bug borer holes
I can even see you being insulted for bathing and washing in public ponds and toilets
I can’t imagine how you make it through winter nights
It’s ain’t funny that your tummy is whispering hunger sounds
That people swiftly pass your spot so you don’t have to beg
That motorists have too many blind spots when you’re at the robots
That your lips are dry with cracks for they rarely move to thank a conscience driven donor
It’s not funny but am thankful that your survival has given me hope
Your inner strength has clarified the value of life
For you, I pray and forever will

Consequence not a sequence

Apr 18, 2010   //   by blue   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

I am not like a usual self self being sold on a shelf…
Temporarily fighting against negative behaviour
Mentally stronger like Lobsang but, not my saviour

Tzu, has nothing on me, I bet on the Creator
I walk straight even though you may think I am aqual
In the pure form I forgive perpetuator`

I spontaneously read your thoughts like a sequel
In a manner of  consequence not a sequence
as I represent good actions in a form of actions and vowel`

I CAN (Have faith in me)

Inspired by: YOU
For: The Youth

From the Genesis of my life,
You filled me with false evidence that appeared real on my face.
I tried to change the pace,
But I was young & I hardly knew mission so I lost the race.
You forgot to tell me it was possible,
Or should I say you did it intentionally thinking you’re on top of your game.
To you I will not put the blame.
Because if I do so life will remain the same while I daily pray for change.
Hold on!! Stay with me on my story.
I know it’s been a while and it’s hard for you to say you’re sorry.

SHH!! Take a moment of silence.
Close your eyes and relax your senses,
Never again will I let you take your chances.
Today it’s my day but revenge is not the case.
If you’re still not satisfied you can start the chase.
I’m far ahead of you now I’m the future,
By living the dreams of King Martin Luther.
Keeping my head forward (future) and refer to the past (history).

As I genetically match the D.N.A of Hector Peterson,
I never loose hope, Holly Spirit is my medicine.
You did not believe in me but I will be the first.
I’m not friends with selfishness, so I represent the rest.
If I don’t make it today, I will fight to be the next.
I certainly know I’m related to 1976,
But you must not forget you named me 2009.
I’m not saying this to make you feel bad.

I’m just trying to state the fact that “I CAN”

If you have faith in me I promise to be the “THE BEST”

Lifetime Dream

Mar 23, 2009   //   by siwema   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

When you dream of a goal , to achieve in life
A mountain to climb , to you it seems
But the voice within , still insists
Give it your best , go another mile
Then burn your bridges , push on a head .

No way behind , no bridges ahead
In the minds of men, has made them achieve
Far beyond their limits, their lifetime dreams
While the voice within still insists .

Success in life , comes to those who try
To fly without wings ,and no wind around
They make a highway
Where no track existed
Suddenly it seems
To be possible to all.

Kakade ubuhlezi ungigadile, nguwe loyo
Imisebenzi yami emihle ibikhuthazwa ubukhulu bakho
Izindlela zami bezikhanyiswa nguwe
Shono bengenza okuhle njalo
Okuhle engikuvunile bekuniselwa nguwe
Uyibekile induku ebandla

Ongazi ngeke athi akaboni

Nansi nje ihleli obala

kodwa yizo zona impela ezingenze lomuntu engiwuye

I AM WOMAN

Jan 29, 2009   //   by admin   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

I AM WOMAN,

I am not a feminist. I just love to celebrate my femininity. I love the curves on my thighs, the ones you stroke and caress when we indulge into our sexuality.

I am not a politician but I strive to fight for the right to pass my angelical vocals across this nation in song of liberation.

My chords chant spoken word of the days celebration, celebration of the coming of my unborn, celebration of the victory gained  against a white injustice,
Against a black injustice;
Against a male injustice;
Against a corporate injustice;
Against a political injustice;
Against an economic injustice;
Against a sexual injustice;

It is I and only I who can deliver unto
life that which the seed of a man has planted
A seed that will conquer new land like the seeds of my counter parts
Who have led nations out of exile into harmony of a new nation’s heart

It is I who has wrinkled lines beneath my eyes from the many years of experience from the earth
It is I who gives you pleasure each night as you touch, stroke and caress my thigh

I have no degree in Philosophy yet I will pass of words of wisdom to the apple of mine eye so that he can
Enter into this life knowing that if he is to stand he is to stand for all

I am from down the road where I was violated, grabbed and stabbed and nearly raped but I escaped the disgust in your eyes, the filth of your touch and the evil of your breath

I do not give sight to the world that does not give ear to my consent
Hungry eyes have led me to feed on the greed to satisfy a material need

I have walked pass this road too many a times and still I see no change, still I cook you meals and bathe your young and bow down to you in this I am denied.

I am denied me
Give me the education because it will liberate me it will sanctify me
It will free me

Liberated I stand

I am mother to the earth

I am mother to your unborn
I am husband to my wife
I am wife to my husband
I am father to my son
I am CEO of this corporation
I am president to a nation
I am giver of life
I am teacher of five

Do not ask me who I am
For I am so many I am
I am woman.

Reaching Mount Zion

Jun 28, 2008   //   by cultural   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

If I open my eyes and expand my mind I can reach Mount Zion
I can Reach Mount.

To walk a clean path is not easy.

That’s why I pray and ask the Lord to set my mind free.

Sometimes Lord I often feel underachieve.

The words that exhales out my breath.

Speaks spiritual chronicles but nevertheless.

If I open my eyes and expand my mind I can reach Mount Zion.
I can reach Mount Zion.

My tears to succeed and planted seeds of new breeds.

The things I sacrifice, whatever the price, visioning king Selassie I.

A new mind of temptation.

Bibles and elevations.

Seeking Mount Zion, Lord I’m trying.

If I open my eyes and expand my mind I can reach Mount Zion
I can reach Mount Zion.

Looking back all I have to do is walk the right tracks.

How the wicked ones behave I’ll never act like that.

Never have to because I know in reality the Lord have my back.

If I open my eyes and expand my mind I can reach Mount Zion
I can reach Mount Zion.

Reconstruction

Jun 26, 2008   //   by cultural   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

They feed me garbage and so I become complacent.

Stealing me from Africa to work for other races.

Children they kidnapped and women they raped.

Most certainly damaged my mind state.

Knowing what I know about mixing the races.

With newborn babies having two different faces.

Not having to deal with all the stereotypes and mental abuse.

I fill my belly with knowledge, reading books from Langston Hughes.

Dealing with the issues he dealt is not what I choose.

But I know one day my mind will be set free.

Not having to go through life as a failure or being mistreated.

Going back to the motherland where m presence is greeted.

Mostly appreciated, but mildly devastated.

With the political disturbance that is centering Zimbabwe.

However, the Lord is needed there anyway.

I always knew within.

With the proper mind state I’ll end up in the motherland.

The love I have for my brothers and sisters, with our hearts connecting.

We shall be living in the house of The Father with no exception.

I AM BLACK

May 12, 2008   //   by drdread   //   inspirational  //  No Comments

I am black, not in intention of feeling that i am not black.
I am black and i was meant to black.
Far i am to go but my black will take me back.
I am black, black that is original
that upon it, is not optional.

I am black and i won't change,no sun to rise at south
The little is the changes in my mouth
Being unlike of the city, to me feel no pity.
I am black and i am about to tell of my black,
No matter to me you yell, destroying my village's wells.
putting thorns on our roads,
Over us putting heavy loads.

I am black, where God seems not to care,
night will go, day make all clear.
Slippery is the earth that is wet,
standing miles away with traps have been set.
Sun that rise have smelten of an ice,
like a dark dies we have open of our eyes.

I am black, my black makes me feel that i am of justice
and my black makes my black mind to practice.
Saying i am black i know will get me a wages,
getting me triumph over the rivalry with rages.
I am black and being black isn't a matter of waste,
just that non black won't have a taste

I am black, the son of soil,
preach and teach of my black is what i will toil.
I am black, neither inferior nor superior
that's why my black makes me jollier.
I am black,my tongue will remain black ,
mind black, as i am black and i was meant to be black.
