A pleasant weather
Ageing leaves from a timeless trunk
Plunge the frowning bark
Winds unleashing shrieks of twigs
Beneath the golden disc that heats
Temples to evolve in peace.
My carved palms turn grey
Veins freeze in dismay
Waiting for the disc to bake
My cold-stricken face
I wait in vain!
My salivary flesh licks foam
From corners of my lips
I roam the golden roads for a meal
Rubbish bin spins…
Deeper and deeper my stomach
Digs for dinner; a lodged smile
As my hand unrubbles a mangled burger
The roads of treasure measure
My frozen life with anger
I'm a beggar pleading for a pleasant weather!
