I AM WOMAN

I AM WOMAN,

I am not a feminist. I just love to celebrate my femininity. I love the curves on my thighs, the ones you stroke and caress when we indulge into our sexuality.

I am not a politician but I strive to fight for the right to pass my angelical vocals across this nation in song of liberation.

My chords chant spoken word of the days celebration, celebration of the coming of my unborn, celebration of the victory gained  against a white injustice,
Against a black injustice;
Against a male injustice;
Against a corporate injustice;
Against a political injustice;
Against an economic injustice;
Against a sexual injustice;

It is I and only I who can deliver unto
life that which the seed of a man has planted
A seed that will conquer new land like the seeds of my counter parts
Who have led nations out of exile into harmony of a new nation’s heart

It is I who has wrinkled lines beneath my eyes from the many years of experience from the earth
It is I who gives you pleasure each night as you touch, stroke and caress my thigh

I have no degree in Philosophy yet I will pass of words of wisdom to the apple of mine eye so that he can
Enter into this life knowing that if he is to stand he is to stand for all

I am from down the road where I was violated, grabbed and stabbed and nearly raped but I escaped the disgust in your eyes, the filth of your touch and the evil of your breath

I do not give sight to the world that does not give ear to my consent
Hungry eyes have led me to feed on the greed to satisfy a material need

I have walked pass this road too many a times and still I see no change, still I cook you meals and bathe your young and bow down to you in this I am denied.

I am denied me
Give me the education because it will liberate me it will sanctify me
It will free me

Liberated I stand

I am mother to the earth

I am mother to your unborn
I am husband to my wife
I am wife to my husband
I am father to my son
I am CEO of this corporation
I am president to a nation
I am giver of life
I am teacher of five

Do not ask me who I am
For I am so many I am
I am woman.
