May 3rd
In those 8 seconds
Time screeched to a halt
I’d never seen anything like that
Every brick she stepped on
The air around her
The sunlight she outshone
The breeze that stroked her skin
All shuddered and quivered
Breathed shallow laboured breaths
Moaned and cooed
Eyes closed in a state of undiluted bliss
Cracking concrete and burst water pipes
All matter responded her presence
A picture of divinity
She turned the corner
Silence!!
We all exhaled
