Somewhere along the way

it happened somewhere along the way,
all of a sudden we couldn't find our where abouts.
we tried to pause and find our way,
but life's momentum just couldn't allow the addrenelin to settle down

the feeling that was so strong just vanished, somewhere along the way.
we weren't clear about what to do,
but what was clear was that the spark had faded with time

Not eager in fact rather scared to admit it
due to the fact that it was the only way we ever knew,
and now the journey has to continue somehow in some other way
but we both knew that in time we gonna have to accept the truth
and allow nature to take its course

A journey that started so smoothly and clear had ended up so turbulently
we couldn't even recognise where we lost it.
Because forever is a mystery to everyone and everything,
so we all know nothing that lasts forever

My mind though still longing for more,
but my heart just couldn't play along
so eventually it was clear in my mind too,
that it was time to part ways.

Somewhere along the way, the way suddenly reached a dead end,
and we both knew that time had faded our love
now it was time to say our goodbyes
for the love that kept us going has sadly lost its way
