My Love
My love, a withered rose
As so the story goes
Thorns as sharp as knives, my pain
With oh but nothing to gain
Petals like velvet, the joys we shared
Now nothing but colourless and uncared
Something that was once beautiful, fragrant and velvet like
Now anything but red and now dead, my heart alike
Oh love where have you gone
Can’t you see I’m torn
The Moon

I wonder why the “Wolf” howls at you ?
Is it an ancient celestial language which speaks of love so true ?
Or is it a deep saddened longing of one day returning home to you ?
Could our sister the Moon be the source of female energy,
which miraculously makes things new ?
In the fullness of her beauty, she tenderly reminds me
that the World is bound together in Love,
We share the same Blue Home
and faithfully send prayers for healing
UP - to that Ethereal Mystery dome.
At night when the World’s content to Dream,
I search the sky for a silvery Beam !
It’s as though my Soul won’t rest,
without a bedtime kiss of
Heavenly pale blue Moonlight !
So close your eyes and drift away –
Let your mind rest peacefully,
in the comfort of your “Wolf” Heart’s knowing
that the Moon watches over us tonight !
Daydream
Time stood still; moments paused
oh! What harm had beauty caused?.
my heart raced, beating fast
i blinked not that that moment would last
she was stunning; what a sight!
a dashing figure of daring height..
face striking as d sun yet smooth as ice
deeply had i fallen under d gaze of her eyes
she reached for me as i, for her
our bodies warmed close; evrythng else far
& upon that moment of blinding bliss
as i did crave her solid lips to kiss
a loud known cry jerked me back to life
& before me stood, my UGLY FAT WIFE.
My Song Your Dance
If I were water, I would keep some for you
When in draught and rivers dry
I would hide myself
Beneath the rocks and roots
I shall be there to quench your thirst.
I would always be there, If I were a smile
On your lips and dimples
That you may give joy in sorrow
When I look at your lovely face
The oasis of passion and love.
I would shed not ,If I were a tree
My leaves in dry season
That may shelter you from the sun
That your beauty may know
No rashes from the heat.
THE MARRIED BRIDE
I look back
At the tracks of my life ,
Fallen are trees
That had blocked my dreams,
Dry are rivers
That had flooded my hopes,
As you stand there
Who would have been my wife ,
With charm and beauty
That would have been my drive .
I do now cry
For what would have been mine,
The bride , my pride
I never even tried
It was just in mind
I never said it a loud,
That I lost a bride
Who would have been my wife ,
With charm and beauty
That would have been my drive
You’re Beautiful
You’re beautiful. It sounds so simple yet it’s true
There is a presence in your essence that just shines through
It reflects an inner beauty that lies within you
Believe me cause it’s true, in my poetic point of view
You’re beautiful, inside and out without a doubt
Your beauty is a mystery; it’s hard to figure out
Your eyes are windows to the soul more precious than a pearl
You look at me and instantly, I’m in another world
You’re beautiful in every way to me and those who see
Those who say you’re not are blinded by their jealousy
Your beauty deserves honesty therefore I’m using poetry
Which comes from the heart and so I tell you truthfully
You’re beautiful, soulful, sensual and so spiritual
That smile of yours is sinful simply cause you’re Beautiful
Spirit of Africa
Are you the Spirit of Africa
Is its
Beauty and splendour
Portrayed through you
Its gracefulness
Its elegance
Are you the Spirit of Africa
Do you portray
Its specialness
Its distinctiveness
Its striking and dramatic
Abilities
You are the
Spirit of Africa
For through you
I see these attributes
I Wish
I wish the clouds could clear the sky
And lightness overcome darkness
I wish my eyelids could hastily rise again
And allow me to see the beauty around me
I wish I had no work to do
So I could count my breaths
I wish my heart could start pumping love through my vessels
So I could learn how to forgive
I wish my hands could lift up that fallen man
Maybe they'll forget how to pull a gun trigger
I wish my mouth knew no rumours
Maybe it would know how to pray
Your Presence…
Like the cold mist which tingles my skin at dawn,
Your presence ignites my soul.
Like the fragrance of a flower is a beacon to the bee,
Your presence sheds light on my way.
Cloudy skies in my life, hills of sorrow and pain,
Even valleys of fear and despair,
Cannot touch me or hurt me or shake me, disturb me,
And it's all just because you are here.
The earth and her beauty is oh so majestic,
A host of inspiring sights,
Which brings joy and peace to a life full of care,
Lifts the spirit to incredible heights,
Yet the joy that you bring is so great, indescribable,
Makes my heart soar up high on its wings.
I want to shout and exclaim at the top of my voice,
I want all the world over to hear.
That without you I am nothing, dry grass in the wind
No life-force, no ambition, desire,
But your presence makes me stand so tall – a new man -
And this world such a wonderful place.
